a month agoJust had surgery. At day 4. Minimal pain. Biggest concern is scrotal swelling from crepitus. Should resolve over time but currently uncomfortable. Catheter to be removed in 10 days. Such a nuisance!

a month agoHad this surgery 10 years ago. It was an easy recovery because there were only 4 small holes that healed quickly. A friend just had it a few weeks ago and he said his biggest pain was he felt like he was punched in the belly. Just sore! But like me, he was out and about within a day or two of the cath removal. Best to you with your surgery!

a month agoHad this Sept 2. Surgery was easy. Could have been released day of but I don’t advise that. Take advantage of the medical team care to learn as much as you can. They decided to remove my lymph nodes as well which has resulted in swelling of my right leg. Catheter is a pain as is regaining bladder control. I just had my first PT appointment which should help. Wearing a diaper is not fun. Good luck!

It’s fantastic that medicine has evolved to this point to help us. Lots to be happy about! Also you are the project manager of your care. Educate yourself about all your options and choose what is right for you.
