I am brand new to this...diagnosed on 1/20/26 with invasive lobular Er + Pr + Her2 negative breast cancer. I had my 2nd biopsy today on a third spot they found during MRI. Surgery scheduled for 2/9/26. Possible double lumpectomy, or possible mastectomy. I am terrified. Anybody else with this diagnosis? Treatment? Please help

This type of breast cancer diagnosis is actually quite common, and many community members have walked this path and found effective treatment options. The fear and uncertainty you're feeling right now is completely understandable - waiting for test results and facing surgery decisions can feel overwhelming. Consider connecting with others in this community who have similar diagnoses, as their experiences and support can provide valuable insight during this challenging time.

I completely agree that connecting with others here who have the same diagnosis can be so helpful - you might also want to ask about their experiences with the different surgery options since that decision can feel really overwhelming right now.

I completely agree that connecting with others here who have the same diagnosis can be so helpful - and don't hesitate to ask them about what questions they wish they had asked their doctors before surgery, as that really helped me feel more prepared.

Well, make sure before you decide that they sit you down and go over All Options with you. I was ER+, PR+, HERS2-. .. Invasive Lobular Carcinoma. It was all just in the left breast. I told them, asked them, pleaded with them to take both because mentally, physically, and emotionally I didn't want to go through this again. Plus I had , had suspicious nodles on the right before. Nope, they refused to do it. Put in my chart i only wanted it for cosmetic reasons... Ugh... That was in September 2023. Well this past Tuesday I go do breast mri on the right breast... And Lord and behold, what you think as... Frickin Abnormal!! They already got me scheduled for this coming Tuesday to do those biopsies.... If they would have taken them both.. so my advice to you is.. make sure they tell you All Your Options, because it is actually a law that says they have to. And then take a day or so, to think what would be best for You. Because your mental health and well being is so very important, if not more so than your physical well being. Ya mind can help break you or make you. So , stand firm in your decisions.Because trust this, let them come back and tell me I have it on the right side now. I'm writing to the Head of that institution and everyone else I can to raise awareness of how they just dismissed my concerns. Like what I wanted was the least of their worries!! Hell , I might even make the national news...lol...And I apologize, I was supposed to help you feel better. I hope that I didn't terrify you anymore than you already are... Will be πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™for you. Much β€οΈπŸ’―
