Many people find it helpful to stay well-hydrated, eat small frequent meals, and ask their care team about anti-nausea medications before treatment begins. Your medical team can provide personalized strategies for managing side effects and will monitor you closely throughout this treatment - don't hesitate to reach out to them with any concerns or questions that come up.

It affects everyone differently. I had both and I really didn’t have any side effects. I do remember experiencing fatigued day of treatment and the next day. I was also given steroids and with that I loss taste but it comes back.

Good luck with your treatment Kathy F! We can do this! Having a break is nice. I’m reminded that we need to be kind to ourselves- bad headache + mild nausea despite aloxi and amend + zofran. Ugh. Tomorrow is a new day!

Kathy F- my nurses had me eat ice during AC infusion to help prevent mouth sores. I’ll let you know if it helps. My mouth burned with taxol + carboplatin, but no sores. So thankful!

My mouth was sensitive but no sores with TC, I hope the ice works. I hope you’re feeling better!! How long was your infusion, did you have keytruda also?

Yes, I had keytruda too. Premed + chemo = approx 2.5 hrs in chair. Still w/headache and heartburn today, but it will be better tomorrow.

I’m sorry to hear that, headaches are the worst!! I heard that Prilosec OTC can help with the heartburn. I started taking it daily about a week ago.

I love everyone’s positive attitude. I just joined. I am receiving keytruda and taxol. My worst weeks are my triple infusion week. This Friday will be the last before I switch to AC. Thanks for all your insights we are in this together. God got this.
