The doxorubicin has torn my stomach up! Also rashes on my face hands & ears from keytruda. Hydrocortisone didn’t work neither did prednisone. Any tips or tricks for the nausea & vomiting besides zofran? & recommended lotions for the rashes? Thanks!

Managing treatment side effects can be incredibly challenging, and it sounds like you're dealing with some tough symptoms right now. Many community members have found relief through various approaches - some have shared success with ginger supplements, acupressure wristbands, or small frequent meals for nausea, while others have tried gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers or cool compresses for skin reactions. Your medical team will have the best guidance on what's safe and appropriate for your specific situation, so definitely keep them updated on how you're responding to current treatments.

Chelsea, When I was treated with Red Devil or Doxorubicin, known as the harshest Chemotherapy but good for aggressive BRCA triple negative cancers, I was given steroids and Aprepitant injections for nausea that creates a bad taste in your mouth but really helps with nausea prevention for several days. I also had prescriptions for high dose Zofran and Compazine. Best wishes. That medication is harsh but helpful to kill the tumors. Steroid creams usually help the rashes. I’m with 5 autoimmune problems and unfortunately, cannot take Keytruda or any immunotherapy. I followed intravenous chemo with oral chemo Xeloda that was harsh, and am now receiving radiation to follow with Lynparza or PARP inhibitors.

Hydrocortisone made me really sick to my stomach nothing else did so far, including Keytruda, carboplatin, taxol and a new drug in clinical trial XB010. I kept up the hydrocortisone which was given to me because the Keytruda killed my production of cortisol and I was terribly sick for three weeks. But I powered through the terrible stomach issues just made sure I ate substantial breakfasts before taking the first dose of the day. It wasn’t perfect. I was still a little sick, but my body sorted it out. I no longer get sick.
