a year agoHas any heard of Signatere, a blood test that can determine recurrence of TNBC cells in the body. If so how effective is it?
Accepted Answer
Signatere is a circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) blood test that some oncologists use to monitor for cancer recurrence, including in triple-negative breast cancer cases. While this type of liquid biopsy technology shows promise in research, it's important to discuss with your oncology team whether this test would be appropriate for your specific situation and how the results would factor into your overall monitoring plan. Others in this community may have experience with similar blood-based monitoring tests and could share their perspectives on discussing these options with their care teams.

6 months agoI’m doing this right now. I finished chemo and radiation. I wasn’t satisfied with now just wait and live your life so I got got my dr. To agree to this. I’ve done 2 blood tests so far. Both negative. It’s a huge peace of mind for me to be doing this. No idea how effective it is but the peace of mind is worth everything to me. I get it’s not full proof but hey if I have cancer DNA circulating in my body I want to know as quick as possible this only checks for the same cancer DNA as my original tnbc tumor but that’s the scariest part going forward for me.
