6 months agoI felt the same way when I was diagnosed. I started treatment recently and I’m feeling a lot more optimistic. Use all your resources. Lean on your support. Cry if you need to but don’t give up! You really and truly have got this!

6 months agoWhat did your oncologist suggest? There is this new treatment now Trodelvy. I am on this right now after reddevil, lumpectomy, radiation, mastectomy, embolization, since May 2022 until now I only had a brief 5 months with no active cancer. Still have to do ct scans to see what the progress is since my last recurrence in October 2024.

6 months agoI had my status check up and my results are good the treatment is working great. Tumor load decreased with 99%. I still have to finish the 2nd half of the treatment. Side effects can be a bit rough but still manageable.

6 months agoWendy. You're going to be alright. Stay positive. Put yourself 1st for now. Self-care, even if it just means to nap, is very important. Ask for help. I know that is not easy for a lot of women since we're usually the caregivers but I took all offers. Let somebody else cook or watch the kids while you rest. Let some of the house go. We can't be everything to everybody else at this time. I did it one day at a time. You can do it too.

6 months agoWendy, let us hear from you❣️Your life will be changed but it will not be destroyed. Talk to your Oncologist and Nurse Navigator about what to expect and advice for handling the not so good days. You have people here that have been through the meds and side effects, let them be your help. Reach out to your friends and if there are Cancer Survivor Groups, join them. God will see you through this, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to the right decisions, Jesus will wrap his arms around you for comfort. Let go and let God ✝️ My prayers for you and your family, who also will be affected. 🙏✝️🙏

6 months agoWendy, ask your oncologist to recommend a counselor. Cancer is really hard and if you need an antidepressant-depressant or an anti-anxiety med, get one. Prayers.

6 months agoWendy, I’m not given a stage by Oncology, but as an RN, my cancer metastasized through blood to one node, I believe I’m stage 3. Please remember cancer treatments improve daily and many keep a good quality of life. My prayers and best wishes to you. 🙏

6 months agoWendy, I’m responding in May and praying for you. I have TNBC and am only starting chemo now. I love the advice to put yourself first and talk with your nurse navigator, oncologist and support group. I was very dark but just starting chemo has helped me be more positive. Praying for you
