a month agoHi All, Not thrilled about 2026 😏 I’m about to start first round of chemo this week for TNBC (Keynote 12 weeks/ then 4 cycle-Red Devil) Any advice on cold capping , results , dos & don’ts? Going to try PAXMAN and hoping to save 50% of my hair 🤞 if I’m lucky . Thanks in advance 🙏

22 days agoSunny, My chemo regime for aggressive triple negative cancer required 3 months of weekly Carbo and Taxol, followed by 3 months of every 2 weeks Red Devil and Cytoxan… within 2 weeks I lost all my hair but now, a year later have it growing back and doing well… my doses were aggressive and cap made no difference. I was immediately fitted for a wig and actually it was quite natural looking to my long hair. Best wishes and prayers. I’m continuing on oral chemo Xeloda 3 months, followed by 3 weeks aggressive radiation and now a PARP med Oliparib for BRCA gene. I cannot have Keytruda or immunotherapy due to 5 autoimmune problems. I did the advised bilateral mastectomies and opted for saline reconstruction as nipple and skin sparing… a wonderful decision as advised by my team. I’m thankful I listened to them, as the cancer spread to one node a year post op, and my chemo journey began. Prayers for you. 🙏

22 days agoLook into Penguin cold capping if you have a partner. I used it and it worked great but I did not take the red devil.

a day agoI'm new on this journey as I just got diagnosed a couple weeks ago but I was told cold capping wouldn't help when using red devil. Maybe worthy of a phone call to the company.

6 hours agoMichelle, Everyone is on a different journey or unique path, when you are treated and dosed. Doctors also consider your overall health history with treatment. My cancer was very aggressive and I was told my regime was very aggressive due to the hi Ki score of 95, cell type, and the BRCA gene needs. I received IV chemo over 6 months, involving Red devil, and oral chemo 3 months, all aggressive doses… yes, I lost my long hair within 3 weeks or sooner, and before red devil use, used natural appearance wigs, and now, my hair is growing back well. I wish you the very best on your unique journey. 🙏❤️
