a month agoBody aches and fatigue are common side effects that many people experience during chemotherapy treatment. It's completely understandable to feel discouraged when dealing with these challenging symptoms, especially when you're already going through so much. While the decision about continuing or modifying treatment is something only you and your medical team can determine based on your specific situation, it's important to discuss these concerns with your oncologist who can explain the treatment plan and explore options for managing side effects. Many people in this community have faced similar struggles with treatment side effects, so you're definitely not alone in feeling this way.

a month agohang in there, I'm having my 3rd treatment on the 16th and I know I will feel puny for a week maybe. But each session is worth it, not saying I won't whine, if it gets rid of the cancer. My hair is almost gone but it will grow back, Lord only knows what color/texture but it will grow back. Did you get an injection of white blood cells? Those make my arms and legs ache but Claritan (yes Claritan) helps. But we will get thru this, maybe one crappy day at a time, but we will. So be brave, go for the 6 treatments, we will survive.

a month agoI agree about Claritin. It definitely helps with side effects and also makes it so more drug enters the tumor. An allergy pill, who knew? Hang in there. Attack the cancer metabolicly by cutting out the pathways it uses to grow like glucose and inflammation. Eliminate sugar in all of its forms and processed foods, seed/veg oils, dairy, and gluten to bring down inflammatory markers. Stay in the fight.

23 days agoI had six chemo and 23 radiation. The aches (and everything else) are rough. I’m 18 months out now and feeling great at the moment…stage 3. There’s so much conflicting information everywhere you look. I have 3 doctors and the only aftercare I got from them was from asking questions. One of them did strongly encourage Mediterranean Diet and fasting 13 hours. The biggest game changer for me has been exercising. Research exercise and cancer. Keep I mind the MD and fasting has been AFTER finishing treatment

23 days agoGood morning, I was told that the chemo sessions are just a precaution even though it travel to my tubes no further. It didn't travel to my nodes, bladder, stomach thank God. Doing chemo only because it started to travel from lining of my uterus (not muscle) to my tubes 3a

a day agoyesterday was Chemo #4, 2 more then 24 months of Keytruda. My chemo and radiation are all precautionary too, all my margins and lymph nodes were clear but in the uterine wash they found 2 cancer cells. 🫤 next up for me is radiation. Should be finished end of July. Going to WDW in September with my kids and 5 yr old granddaughter so I will have a few weeks recovery time. 😊 P.S. I am hoping you have chosen to 3 all 6 chemo. They suck but our doctor's feel they are needed.

17 hours agotruthfully I don't want to do the radiation. I have seen first hand the effects my Mom had. BUT, that being said I will get it. I am probably a lot older than you and I want every day I can get. I don't want to end up regretting not getting a treatment that could have extended my life when my time comes. Think about it. Regret is a B*tch.
