Should I be scared of vaginal radiation after hysterectomy?

I have, and they would stage 3 C 1 endometrial cancer. I just had my second chemo treatment. I had two lymph nodes that had traces of cancer. And everything else was clear of it. After they took the tumor and my uterus fleopian tubes, they took everything. I am to scared of the vaginal treatment radiation. I had a friend that had it done in her vagina, sealed up, and she'll never be able to have intercourse again. She literally was hospitalized when she tried to use the dilators. I don't wanna do the vaginal radiation whatsoever. I'll do the one on my abdomen, but I didn't have any traces of cancer. In my cervix. But i'm not gonna do the vaginal one. You have to use dilators, and i'm out for that. I'm doing two chemos and my treatments are 8 to 9 hours long, every 21 days, 4 times and then I will be doing immune. Therapy. I just completed 5 rounds of radiation. I had it every single day Monday through Friday. You don't feel anything at all. The side effect I had was a bit of diarrhea. I didn't have the internal radiation because from what i've read , the external beam seemed more thorough.

I was diagnosed with clear cell uterine cancer very aggressive, stage 3. After my hysterectomy, I did have chemo along with intravenous immunotherapy, that was followed by radiation. I had absolutely no symptoms during radiation just a bit of diarrhea. I had external beam radiation , which is from the outside. I think it's quite different than the radiation received for breast cancer. I have another friend who had the internal vaginal radiation, and she had no problem just recently. Move forward, my friend in faith and prayer.You will be fine. There might be some microscopic cancer cells somewhere you want to get that taken care of now.

I had my hysterectomy in January, they took everything like you. I then had 6 rounds of chemo and 25 radiation treatments. Everyone is different but chemo made me incontinent and radiation gave diarrhea from time to time but both are getting better. Radiation is fast and painless, yes I had complications but this too shall pass 🤞🤞🤞. You will make it, tell yourself that daily. Right now I have monthly infusions of Keytruda (immunotherapy). You can do this, I am 73, have faith, rest, try to stay positive.
