I was just diagnosed with uterine cancer and am due to start double chemo. Has anyone been through these treatments or is currently getting them?

Starting chemotherapy can feel overwhelming, and it's completely natural to want to hear from others who have walked this path. Many community members have shared helpful tips about managing treatment days, staying comfortable, and what to expect - browsing through previous posts or connecting with others here who have similar experiences could provide valuable insights and reassurance during this time.

I have had a complete hysterectomy. I am now doing external radiation and when finished will do 5 sessions of internal radiation. I had no chemo

I had a complete hysterectomy and was supposed to have 6 chemotherapy treatments. But the pain was excruciating in my nerve endings (I have fibromyalgia), and the doctors stopped it after one treatment. I then had 25 external radiation treatments and 3 brachytherapy treatments. I had stage 1, 3b diagnosis, with p53 abnormalities. The surgeon found no metastasis afterwards, so the treatments were preventative. Just finished the last radiation; trying to get my stamina back, calm my abdominal distress, and keep my vagina patent due to scar tissue. It has been a long, long road; it is for all of us… Keep praying, and surround yourself with love and support. God speed… 🙏

I was diagnosed with Stage III, Grade B Endometrial cancer in August 2024. I had a complete hysterectomy, then six chemotherapy treatments with Taxol, Carboplatin and Keytruda. Those treatments were finished in February and now I am on Keytruda only until February 2026. I have had three clear scans so far and am lucky enough to have tolerated treatment well.
