Anyone else have endometrial cancer with LVI findings after hysterectomy?

Hi everyone! I just joined this group. I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer August 2025 by my OBGYN after a Pap smear biopsy came back positive. Was referred to a gyn-oncologist and had total robotic-laparoscopic hysterectomy in October. My pathology report came back with zero malignancy in both ovaries and fallopian tubes as well 14 sentinel lymph nodes. Less than 50% myometrial and stromal invasion. The only concern I have as well as the radiologist-oncologist is the “suggestion of LVI single focus”. I haven’t decided on radiation and brachytherapy yet. Btw, my cancer is stage 2c. Anyone here has similar findings as me? I wish everyone well and good health this 2026. Prayers for us all.

Welcome to the community! It sounds like you're navigating some complex treatment decisions after receiving encouraging pathology results overall. Many members here have experience with similar findings and treatment considerations, so connecting with others who understand this journey can be really valuable. Your question about LVI findings is something that comes up in this community, and hopefully other members will share their experiences to help you feel less alone in weighing your options.

While connecting with others is definitely helpful, I'd encourage you to also ask your gyn-oncologist specifically about the significance of that single LVI focus in your case - they can give you the most personalized perspective on whether the benefits of radiation outweigh the risks given your otherwise excellent pathology results.

I'm dealing with very similar findings and also wrestling with the radiation decision - you're definitely not alone in having questions about LVI and what it means for treatment! It's so helpful to connect with others who understand exactly what we're going through.

While connecting with others is definitely helpful, I'd also encourage you to ask your oncologist specifically about the clinical significance of that single LVI focus in your particular case - sometimes the specifics of location and other factors can really influence treatment recommendations.

Talk to your radiation oncologist about what they plan to treat and damage to other organs such as the bladder. After chemo resolved my tumor, my gyno-onco suspected it was still in some enlarged lympnodes and sent me for a radiation consult. He said he couldn't target such a small area of specific lymph nodes and my bladder would definitely be damaged.

I wonder what age each person is when diagnosed. I was 65 with no symptoms until post menopausal bleeding occurred.

I was 64. I had been seeing a functional doctor for 6 months and she had put me on hormones. Progesterone and estrogen. After 6 months I started to bleed. I told her this and she kept saying that she would just back me off the estrogen a bit. It was a constant bleeding for 9 months. When I went to my regular doctor appointment in the summer after the 9 months she said there's no way we were going to wait on that and just back off on the estrogen. She sent me to a gynecologist and I knew very soon after that it was cancer. At the University of Washington where I was treated, they shared with me that in that situation when women are one bleeding irregularly, about 1 in 10 is cancerous. That is something to share because had I had any inkling I would have been tested right away. I felt so naive, but I trusted that functional doc and thought she knew what she was doing.

I have the same as you. Sounds like we're going through thing. I had 6 rounds of chemo which ended December 9th. That put a serious strain on my body. I'm still recovering. Getting ready to go back for another CT Scan on next week. I can use extra prayers, if you have them, please. May 2026 be blessed for all of us. God has us!

At 70 yrs old 2025 I was bleeding out of control post menopausal. I had been on estrdial and progesterone for 13 yrs and had yearly CT scans and biopsy for break through bleeding once a yr. All was well. Then I started having monthly or bimonthly spotting or week long bleeding at 69.

Continuing on I was found to have endometrial grade one, stage one cancer. Had full on historectomy, uterus, cervivs, ovaries plus 3 lymphnodes taken out. Surgeon said I didn't need chemo or radiation as it does to much damage and he felt 95% sure that it hadn't spread. Lymphnodes were biopsies and came back clean. This type of cancer travels through the lymph system. However he also said that if even one cancer cell was left behind it could spread...I have a 6 month check up soon. I will be checked every 6 months for 2 yrs and then every yr for 3 yrs. God willing I will remain healthy. ultrasound and was sent to a

Praying for all of us 🙏 🙏🙏Let’s keep the faith and trust in God’s divine plan. I still want to live for my family and see my son marry and have kids someday. I have some weird feeling in my pelvis like a pressure when I sit and other times a dull pain. Not too much maybe still part of healing process? I’m very active now but not too strenuous. But I’m worried I called my doctor. He ordered a CAT scan for me next week. I’m praying all is well🙏🙏🙏

Hi there, Dulce J, yes I was diagnosed in May, 2026 via of a pap smear as well. Endometrial Cancer. I had stage 2c. I also had the robotic laparoscopic hysterectomy. Everything came back negative, however, as a preventive I had 6 rounds of Chemo. As of December 15, I am cancer free. I will still see my Dr. every 3 months for a follow up. I pray all goes well with you. Take care

Neldra, I’m so happy to hear of your good news! Keep it up and I pray that all goes well for you. I wonder why we have different treatment advise from our doctors. My cancer spread from uterus to cervix but less than 1mm myometrial and endocervical stromal invasions. A suggestion of Lymphovascular invasion single focus. Zero malignancies in lymph nodes. I’m also stage 2c.
