Recovery time after vulvar cancer surgery varies significantly from person to person, depending on factors like the type and extent of surgery, overall health, and healing process. Many find that initial healing takes several weeks, while returning to normal activities can take a few months, though it's important to follow your medical team's specific guidance for your situation. Wishing you a smooth recovery, and hopefully others in this community can share their experiences to help you feel less alone during this time.

I was diagnosed with vulvar cancer in September and had surgery in October. It looks like they got it all but they are checking me every two weeks to see how I am doing. I am also 63 years old and I was also scared .

Mine was a tumor in my perineum, it was the whole size of the perineum, so I have no space between vagina and butthole now! I realize that its only about an inch anyway, but it sure feels weird and different, and I'm sure it LOOKS weird too! Luckily I cant see good! Too afraid to look close anyway! Lol

I don’t know if I’m replying on this platform correctly or not. If you ladies would like to chat, I am a vulvar stage 3-4 cancer survivor from 2002. There is total hope I am here to say! Oh I’m 67. I was 44 when diagnosed. I went through the gambit of radiation, chemotherapy and brachytherapy so I can relate. A veteran you might say!!
