a month agoWell I'm all done with both radiation and chemo. Now waiting for the current damage to my skin to stop happening and then start the healing. I just want the painful burning when I go to the bathroom (both) to stop. It's getting to where I don't want to go...

a month agoRadiation burns in sensitive areas can take several weeks to months to fully heal, and the timeline varies for each person depending on the treatment intensity and individual healing factors. Many community members find relief through gentle care strategies like sitz baths, barrier creams recommended by their care team, and staying well-hydrated, though it's important to check with the medical team about what's safe to use during recovery. The healing process can feel frustratingly slow, but most people do see gradual improvement as the damaged tissue repairs itself over time.
