3 months agoI am at the year mark after my double mastectomy and implants. I decided to go to a tattoo artist and have them do my areola and nipples. My doctor gave her name to me. My husband took me for moral support. When she was done I showed my husband and he got a big smile on his face and said that they took his eyes away from the scars. I feel so much better about myself. Im normal again! It was not cheap, I paid $600. I don't usually buy things for items that aren't necessary, but IT WAS WELL WORTH THE MONEY. If anyone has questions just ask.

Areola tattooing can be such an important step in feeling whole again after breast reconstruction, and it sounds like this experience has brought back a sense of confidence and normalcy. Many people find that this final touch makes a significant difference in how they feel about their bodies post-surgery. Thank you for sharing the details about the process and cost - this information could be really helpful for others in this community who might be considering the same procedure.

3 months agoHelen: You have demonstrated such courage! I had a double mastectomy in August of this year and have been wondering how other cancer survivors have dealt with the aftermath. Looking towards a positive future, I've decided to just buy a lot of sexy nightgowns to celebrate once my exchange surgery has been completed.

2 months agoI did that. Anaono is a company that has bras designed for women who have had breast cancer. Look into them. You let them know what you had done and they suggest the perfect bra. I love them.
