Hi blessings to All I have a lobular carcinoma it went from 6 cm and after chemotherapy 1.6 cm yay! But I had lumpectomy 11 years ago but this time is tumor same side right side and it’s on the chest wall. One doctor said to do mastectomy which I don’t want. Her 2 + I’m starting antibodies on Monday. Is there is any advice if I don’t want mastectomy? Thank you 🙏

Treatment decisions for recurrent breast cancer can feel overwhelming, especially when previous treatments limit current options. Many patients in similar situations find it helpful to seek a second opinion from another oncologist or a specialized breast cancer center, as different doctors may have varying approaches to complex cases like chest wall involvement. The community here understands how important it is to feel confident in treatment choices, and connecting with others who have faced similar decisions about surgical options can provide valuable perspective and support.

I have lobular carcinoma or had I should say ..it was just removed 2 days ago. If I were you I would do some research on it. It can be very sneaky and vicious! Oddly it showed up in some scans and other scans it didn't! Originally I got a sonogram and they said congratulations it's not cancer!! Then my oncologist did a biopsy anyway and it was cancer! It can reoccur any where any time and it can't be seen in a scan until it's bigger. As opposed to other types that can be seen sooner. It grows in a fibrous pattern rather than a solid tumor which also makes it hard to view. If you do a masectomy can they do reconstruction at the same time?? Believe me none of us "want"a masectomy but you may have too to get rid of the cancer.

Any info on most promising treatment for Triple Negative? No Lymph node involved, lumpectomy, radiation.
