How Do You Combat Your Gist?

Thank you for this encouraging question that many in the GIST community can relate to. There are various approaches people use to manage their journey with GIST, including staying connected with their medical team, maintaining healthy lifestyle habits when possible, finding support through communities like this one, and focusing on activities that bring joy and purpose. What strategies have been most helpful for others here, and what new approaches might be worth exploring together?

So far 4 different chemo pills and just had my 2nd Y-90 treatment. The pills seem to have increased random side effects. The newest one has raised my blood pressure and blood sugar (to the point of diabetes) also hair loss and mouth sores. Hoping side effects will be become more tolerable and possibly go away all together. My 1st Y-90 treatment killed 3 tumors but I developed an abcess on my liver. This time I took antibiotics for 2 weeks after and I am hoping for a better outcome. The main side effects of the Y-90 this trip have been (intense) fatigue, nausea and pain.
