4 months agoWelcome to the community! Many patients with GIST have followed a similar treatment path with Gleevec before surgery, and it sounds like your medical team has created a good monitoring plan for you. Hopefully others here will share their experiences with pre-surgical Gleevec treatment and recovery - this community has many knowledgeable members who understand the GIST journey.

a month agoDid it affect your eating before it was removed? Mine is 6cm against my esophagus and was unable to get solids and liquids down at all. Had to have a stent inserted to be able to be on a liquid diet then full liquid diet and now trying soft diet. I pray my tumor shrinks quickly so that I can have my surgery. Are you having any issues since your surgery?
