6 months agoOn it now. So far so good. Had some projectile vomiting. Was given extra medication to take it bedtime. Seems to have worked.

6 months agoJust finished my 12th out of 14 cycles of Kadcyla. I've tolerated it without any big side effects. A little constipation here and there. I'm getting some "hit by a truck" fatigue 24-72 hours after the infusion that started with the 11th cycle. But nothing that makes me want to decrease or stop. Still working out every day. Oh, my nails are super brittle too, but, thats not a big deal either. Happy to have this option for my triple postive disease that mostly reaponded to TCHP chemo (2.2 cm tumor reduced to 0.4cm and 30% cellularity). Neratnib is next. I also take a vit D supplement (my vit D was really low) and a folate supplement (low end of normal, PCP felt I would benefit) along with tamoxifen.

6 months agoI have taken Kadcyla. The side effects were minor. It made me a bit tired. There was no nausea, hair loss or any of the typical chemo side effects. It targeted my breast tumor and made it shrink considerably. I then had a mastectomy and I have been cancer free ever since. I had such good results and so few side effects and I think it is a great alternative to the usual chemo drugs!
