a year agoTriple a breast cancer stage2 grade2 . Options presented chemo taxol 3 months weekly and herceptin until 6th month then surgery then chemo or surgery ( I’ve opted for mastectomy ) and then chemo . I’m agonizing over decision . Any suggestions

6 months agoForgot to mention that I had same diagnosis on other breast with mastectomy and tch chemo 14 years ago. No option given. I am trying to avoid taxol chemo drug

6 months agoI am currently on the the same treatment. Taxol so far hasn’t been bad for me. I’m going on my 4 th cycle on Monday. I haven’t had any side affects.

6 months agoDid you do it before surgery or after surgery ? That’s my dilemma . Even if it shrinks if I do pre sx I still want mastectomy . What was your decision ?

6 months agoTaxol didn’t effect me until 6th week. Headaches, nose bleeds,, neuropathy, hair loss etc.

6 months agoI am triple positive and am currently in Taxol, 6 cycles before mastectomy. I chose double mastectomy as I’ve spoken with survivors that has to go back and repeat the treatment when returned. Although there are no guarantees peace of mind is telling me to remove both to lessen chances of recurrence. Hope that helps
