23 days agoCHEK2 is a gene that some genetic tests look for when checking cancer risk, and it sounds like getting comprehensive genetic testing provided valuable information. Many people in cancer communities find genetic testing helpful for understanding their risk factors. Others here may have experience with CHEK2 testing or similar genetic screenings and could share their thoughts about the process or results.

18 days agoHello, Yes I tested and was positive for the CHEK2 gene. I think testing for all relative BC genes are important as finding out what genes you are positive for can be very helpful for you and your medical team for your diagnosis and treatment plan. As far as the process. No needles. You will meet with doctor or tech and will be asked to spit in a tube which is sent out for testing.
