What's it like living with Enhertu for HER2+ breast cancer?

2 months agoI have advanced HER2-positive breast cancer and have been receiving trastuzumab. My doctor mentioned that Enhertu (fam-trastuzumab deruxtecan) might be considered if my current treatments aren't providing the response we're hoping for. From what I understand, it combines trastuzumab with a chemotherapy agent that's delivered directly to cancer cells. I know side effects can include fatigue, nausea, and potential lung problems that need monitoring, but I've heard many patients tolerate it well with proper supervision. 8 days agoI've had 4 Enhertu Txs so far. They said I might shed but won't lose much hair. Wrong! Other than that, I've had a good experience with it. The intestinal cramping is the worst side effect for me. I do wear out faster and have to sit down during house cleaning, etc you'll find your pattern during the 3 wk cycle and then you can schedule life around the slow days.
