I was diagnosed with ILC on left breast with lymph node involvement. ER/PR+, HER2-. OncotypeDX of 14 so no chemo and starting Letrozole today. Has anyone been taking calcium and vitamin D with it? I stopped all my supplement as i am reading different info online. I’m so confused. First time this road and so many unknowns.

Supplement questions during cancer treatment can definitely feel overwhelming, especially when starting a new medication like Letrozole. Many patients in this community have navigated similar decisions about calcium and vitamin D supplementation during hormone therapy. The most important step is discussing these specific supplements with your oncology team, as they can review your individual medical history and current treatment plan to provide personalized guidance. Your care team will be able to address any concerns about potential interactions and help you make the best decision for your situation.

I take vitamin d and plant based calcium and OMEGA 3. This journey is very difficult and confusing. I am stage 2A with 1 lymphnode involved. Oncotype score 5 so surgery, radiation and AI. 10% chance of distant recurrence in 9 years with AI. I am 2 years out.
