6 months agoStomach pain, anastrozole? I finished 21 rounds of radiation last Monday and over this weekend I started having intestinal issues. This afternoon I have really bad stomach pain. I am wondering if it is from taking anastrozole, post radiation or just a stomach bug!
Accepted Answer
Stomach pain after radiation and during anastrozole treatment can be concerning and frustrating to deal with. It's worth discussing these symptoms with your healthcare team, as they can help determine whether the pain might be related to your recent radiation, the medication, or something else entirely. Many others in this community have navigated similar questions about treatment side effects, so you're definitely not alone in wondering about these connections.

6 months agoIt could be any of the above. You could try over the counter stomach med like pepcid. Also eat blanb diet,no spicy or citrus. I had upset stomach off and on from the time I had surgery for about 10 months. I attributed mine to stress from pain. I used pepcid, prescription Zofran if really bad. What really helped was cbd gummies and acupuncture. Tmi...I would throw up more when really tired or in pain. Try to get rest, watch diet, manage pain

6 months agoI had intermittent digestion issues before radiation but it took my system about a month to settle down after radiation. I’m very grateful it did.

6 months agoAsk about lactobacillus ruteri not sure of the spelling, probiotic chewable vitamin D check your level, beetroot, dark chocolate, spinach or broccoli and cooked tomatoes. If you're going to have meat I would slow cook it but completely. Take your time don't have big meals stay hydrated ask your doctor about okra water if you don't have an allergy towards it blessings
