a year agoHow was radiation for those after a mastectomy? Mother is 60.5. She was ERB×Positive lymph nodes were removed bit have remainder macrometastases.
Accepted Answer
Radiation experiences can vary from person to person, but many community members find it helpful to hear from others who have been through similar treatments. The combination of factors mentioned - including the hormone receptor status and lymph node involvement - means the medical team is likely creating a personalized treatment plan. Consider asking the radiation oncologist about what to expect during the consultation, as they can provide specific details about the proposed treatment schedule and potential side effects based on the individual situation.

6 months agoRad is different for everyone by several factors. Skin type is one. Be sure and treat the area with lots of heavy moisture daily a week to ten days before treatment starts. Aquifer (greasy like Vaseline) was my friend. It will ruin clothes though.
