I went for a physical exam today and the doctor said that my heart was not beating right so she had an EKG done and now she want me see a cardiologist it’s always something my heart do beat fast some times since taking medication. Do anyone else have a problem with heart

Many people in the breast cancer community have shared similar experiences with heart-related side effects while on anastrozole, so you're definitely not alone in noticing these changes. It's great that your doctor is being proactive by ordering tests and referring you to a cardiologist - this kind of thorough monitoring is exactly what you need to stay on top of your health during treatment.

7 months agoI went to the ER the other night with a rapid heart rate and irregular beat. I can't help but think it's tied to Letrozole I've been on for a few months. I'm trying to get in to see my oncologist. I can't imagine all the side effects for 5 years.

7 months agoI was taking Lettozole. I had many side effects. Achy joints, headache, hair loss, but when they noticed a spike in my liver they took me off of it. That was the first time. 15 yrs later, with no symptoms or at least no normal tell tale symptoms like a lump, which is what they tell you to be aware of, I am here again but this time it is stage 4 metastatic Breast Cancer. I had been going to mammograms every 6 months with ultrasounds and was told everything was fine. Even had a bone density test and was told that was fine so I don’t know what signs or signals we should be looking for. It was a fluke how I was diagnosed. Don’t want to scare anyone but they have not figured this breast cancer thing out yet, but I know our treatments are very expensive and it seems everyone has breast cancer. So what gives??? Hate to think the doctors are profiting at our expense.

7 months agoHi Annette that’s so sad. How did they find it? I do hope it’s somewhere they can get rid of it. So many stories on here and not a club I wanted to be a part of but my heart goes out to us all.

7 months agoYes I was in the ER a few days ago with a racing heart and felt it pounding in my neck. I'm on Letrozole for a few months. My oncologist told me to stop and will be going to see him in about 2 weeks. Also, I'm going to my husband's cardogist to have him check my heart
