RIght now I am hospitalized with pulmonary emboli. I have completed my 7 chemotherapy infusions. I showed up today for my 27th radiation but was weak, pale and tachycardic. Evaluated immediately and sent to ER. So I am happy for the prompt lifesaving care. I have heparin infusing. Unable to sleep. Listening to classical music on Alexa. A nice feature in my hospital room.

It's clear that receiving such prompt medical attention was crucial, and having access to comfort measures like music can make a meaningful difference during recovery. Blood clots are a known complication that can occur during cancer treatment, and many patients in this community have navigated similar challenges with various coping strategies including staying connected with their care team, finding ways to rest when possible, and using distraction techniques. Please feel free to share more about your experience as you recover - this community understands the complexities of treatment complications and may have helpful insights to offer.
