Has anyone tried Orajel mouth rinse for chemo-induced mucositis?

I totally get wanting to check with your team first, but since you've already tried so many prescribed options, maybe you could also ask your oncologist specifically about timing - like whether using Orajel between your prescribed rinses might give you some extra relief without interfering with your current regimen?

Hi! I had this issue. There is a company called chemo mouthpiece that provides a free kit if your insurance declines covering. I got mine for free. It is basically a cooling device you keep in your mouth during taxol, since it’s the taxol that usually causes the oral issues. Same concept as the cryotherapy of your hands and feet to reduce neuropathy.

Believe it or not my mouth sores are minor this time around by using Extra Strength Sensodine toothpaste, my son who had many sores from his radiation told Me about it and it really works . Hope this helps

I am about to take my 5th treatment of Elahere. My CA125 numbers are going up. This is suppose to be the latest and greatest treatment for my particular cancer. I am very discouraged.

Didn’t work for me either after an initial lowering of my CA125. Then it started going up again. I’m on Keytruda and Taxol and Avastin now. My first scan on this new regimen 3 weeks in was great. No new areas of cancer, some had disappeared and all else had shrunk. That was 10 weeks ago. My CA125 has gone up a few points so I am worried. My next scan is in 10 days.🙏🏽 Hang in there I’m praying for you.

Hi Leigh, I’m also on the same trio your on . I am pretty good except for the exhaustion and I feel slightly depressed which is new . Do you feel any of these ?
