I have another question.did any one that's had chemo have a side effect(runy nose)? I've had 4 rounds and with the 1st 3 I noticed it just alilbit just thought it was allergies but this last round it's running away. And I can't catch it.lol.just wondering if it is a side effect or if it's really allergies

Runny nose can indeed be a side effect of chemotherapy, as treatments can affect the mucous membranes and immune system in ways that lead to nasal congestion or drainage. It's great that you're keeping track of these changes through your treatment rounds - many others in this community have likely experienced similar symptoms and would benefit from hearing about your experience too.

Bonnie, I have a constant running nose. You do lose your nose hairs during chemo. I take a Claritin tab every day and helps so could be allergies too.

Thank you Barbara I hadn't even thought about losing my nose hairs. I just ain't sure if it's allergies for sure guess I'll have to try something stronger than benadryl

Bonnie, are you being given Avastin? That drug gave me a constant runny nose and body aches mostly in my arms.

I had runny nose on Avastin. And now congestion and runny nose started when I restarted chemo. Using Claritin, and lots of tissues

Yes, never had a runny nose before chemo. It started to subside about 8-9 months post chemo. My voice also got laryngitis a lot.

Yes I did! I heard it was due to no nose hair. I took Claritin and it helped.
