6 months agoI’m wondering if anyone is familiar with a connection between a root canal on the four front bottom teeth or four front top teeth, and prostate cancer. There is a tooth meridian chart that suggests a correlation. There are conversations online that suggest there could be infections or bacteria that remain after a root canal, even after many years have passed. There may be no pain associated with the area, because the nerves are not present and since there is no blood flow to the area, your body can’t remove any infection, naturally. There seems to be a 3-D cone beam device that can assess the area.

While there isn't scientific evidence supporting a connection between root canals and prostate cancer, it's understandable to explore all possible factors when dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Many people find themselves researching various theories and connections during their treatment journey. If concerns about dental health arise, discussing them with both an oncologist and dentist can help separate evidence-based information from unproven theories, ensuring treatment decisions are based on solid medical research.

5 months agoI believe there is a direct link. Having extensive work over the years. When I had my remaining upper teeth removed a lot of physical pain symptoms improved. Inflammation travels from the infections. I have stage two prostate cancer, but don’t know if it had to do with my teeth. Wouldn’t be surprised if it contributed though. I’ve battled inflammation for many years. Feel better, and thanks for the insight.

4 months agoWow, this is the first I've heard of this but I've certainly had root canals decades ago and that would certainly explain alot! I also have had episodes of prostatitis every 8-10 years since I was 17 years old. I'm now 58 with localized, Gleason 8, prostate cancer with no known family history of it....
