4 days agoDay two of radiation, was on the table ready to go and they came out and said bladder not full. Drank more water and waited. Tried again no problems, took about 10 min. Told me I was dehydrated to drink more during the day.
Accepted Answer
A full bladder during prostate radiation treatment helps push the bladder away from the prostate and keeps internal organs in a consistent position, which allows the radiation team to target the treatment area more precisely while protecting healthy tissue. Staying well-hydrated throughout the day, as your team suggested, will help make this process smoother for future sessions.
