4 months agoMy husband’s last PSA was 318. Has anyone ever heard of a level that high?
Community Member
4 months agoPSA levels can vary widely, and while 318 is quite elevated, community members here have shared experiences with high readings across different ranges. This kind of result understandably brings up many concerns and questions about next steps. Connecting with others who have navigated similar situations in this community can provide valuable support and perspective during this challenging time.

4 months agoI completely agree that connecting with others here who've faced high PSA levels can be so helpful - you might also want to ask about how people prepared for their follow-up appointments and what questions they found most important to discuss with their care team.

4 months agoMy husband has had his first chemo treatment this Monday, he’s started with the injections (once a month), and is taking a pill to block testosterone. It’s all hitting him pretty hard (and have the same side effects). He has advanced metastatic prostate cancer that’s spread to bones and some lymph nodes. I’m looking for advice on how to help him without being pushy or overbearing from men who have experienced this. If he’s not wanting to talk about it I try to let him be and just let him know I’m there.

4 months agoDarren OBrien , Prostate cancer for many people is never killed !!! You don’t say what stage you were diagnosed??? But you should be happy ( if there is happy with cancer ) that your PSA level dropped to .2 !!! I have stage 4A metastatic prostate cancer ( went to a lymph node ) I have been taking meds for 3 years and as of my last PSA test it was .01 !! Don’t know how long it will last , but for now I’m ok !!!

2 months agoMy PSA was 136 three years ago and diagnosed stage 4 with metastatic to bones and lymph nodes. With 3 years of Lupron and Abiraterone, my PSA is now .60, and the metastatic cancers have all shrunk considerably. Praise God!
