2 days agoHi all! I was recently diagnosed with Invasive lobular breast cancer. I turn 56 in a few days. I am waiting on the PET/CAT scans to be done. I don’t know what to expect and am a little scared.

2 days agoPET/CT scans are commonly used to help doctors see if cancer has spread beyond the original area, and while they can feel overwhelming when facing a new diagnosis, they're typically straightforward procedures that involve drinking a contrast solution and lying still while images are taken. Many community members find it helpful to ask their medical team specific questions about what the scans will show and how the results will guide their treatment plan - sharing experiences and questions here can also provide valuable support during this uncertain time.
