a day agoI have been diagnosed with AML in July 4 months ago. I have done 3 sets of chemo 7 days a week with 3 weeks breaks in between each session. I am now to start transplant either bone marrow or stem cells. Please what to expect? Thanks

20 hours agoStarting a bone marrow or stem cell transplant for AML can bring up a lot of questions, and asking them is a great step. In general, the process often includes pre-transplant testing, a preparation phase, the infusion of healthy cells, and a recovery period with close monitoring by the care team, though each person's experience and timeline can be different. The transplant team is the best source for what to expect in this specific situation, and writing down questions before appointments can help.
