3 days agoI had a lumpectomy July 30 and underwent 5 days of radiation. My team at Hillman Cancer Center is the best! I just started Tamoxifen last week due to weakening bones. I am dealing with many family illnesses so it is hard to tell what contributes to my mood swings. We had to put our dog to sleep days before surgery. She was to be my recuperating buddy. I never know what is causing my mood swings and crying. Does this go with cancer recovery? I am weaning off of Celexa, too, so that doesn't help.

3 days agoMood changes and emotional ups and down are very common during cancer recovery, especially when combined with medication changes and difficult life events. The body and mind need time to heal from treatment, and hormonal medications can also affect emotions. Many people in this community have shared similar experiences with unexpected tears and mood fluctuations during their recovery journey. Consider discussing these feelings with your healthcare team, as they can help determine if adjustments or additional support might be helpful during this challenging time.
