My daughter passed away in July of 2024 of endometrial cancer that spread to her lungs...her doctor said her tumors in her lungs were too large to radiate...does this make sense?

It's heartbreaking to lose someone so precious, and the questions that linger afterward are completely natural. Radiation treatment decisions depend on many factors including tumor size, location, and how the treatment might affect surrounding healthy tissue. Sometimes doctors determine that radiation may not provide the best benefit-to-risk ratio for larger tumors, though treatment approaches can vary based on individual circumstances. This community understands the weight of these difficult moments, and sharing these questions can help others who may be facing similar situations.
