2 months agoI have cervical cancer and am currently taking ondansetron to help control nausea from my treatment. I was recently on Keytruda (pembrolizumab) as well. Lately I've been dealing with some challenging side effects including very severe insomnia and decreased libido, severe neuropathy, and very severe diarrhea. My care team is aware and we're working on adjustments to my treatment plan. I'd love to connect with others who have been through similar cervical cancer treatments and hear about your experiences managing side effects. • What side effects did you experience during treatment and what helped you get through the tough days? • Do you have any practical tips for managing sleep issues or neuropathy during cancer treatment?

2 months agoManaging cancer treatment side effects can feel overwhelming, and reaching out to connect with others who understand this journey shows real strength. The combination of sleep challenges, neuropathy, and digestive issues you're describing are common concerns that many in this community have faced, and there's valuable wisdom to be shared about coping strategies that have helped others through similar experiences. Consider exploring gentle relaxation techniques or mindfulness practices that might support better rest, and don't hesitate to ask your care team about additional supportive therapies that could help manage these symptoms alongside your current treatment plan.

2 months agoI've been through nearly two years of treatment. I started with Carbo+Pembo+Keytruda. My body did really well with it. I lost my hair and got lots of fun hats and a wig that made me look very sexy. I tried false eyelashes and brows. Neither was appealing to me. I made it all a fun journey. I developed substantial neuropathy. The Pembo and Carbo were discontinued after that ( around the 7th treatment.) the neuropathy stayed with me and continues to get slowly worse, but I can still drive. I continued with Keytruda for another 4 treatments and unfortunately got colitis and sepsis. God got me through that. I still have active adenocarcinoma in both lungs...very small. My doc and I decided to give my body a rest for a year and 4 months now. I feel fatigued every day around 2:00 and I take a short nap, which gets me back in action. During my treatment, I listened to my body. If I was nauseous, I took that medicine you mentioned, but I believe I only needed it 4 times. I would have 3-4 crummy days, where I hung out in my bed and watched tv and slept. After that I was fine until the next treatment in 3 weeks. Listen to your team and do everything they suggest and rest!!!! May God give you the strength to accept this journey and stay happy and engaged. This is 99% ATTITUDE! ❤️
