I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2022 , I had bone marrow transplant in 2023. I'm doing well though on 10mg Revlimid 2 weeks on 2 weeks off in a month.

The duration of maintenance therapy varies from person to person, and this decision typically depends on how well the treatment is working and how well it's being tolerated. Many oncologists continue maintenance therapy as long as it remains effective and side effects are manageable, but the specific timeline is always individualized based on ongoing monitoring and response to treatment. This sounds like an important conversation to have with the medical team, as they can provide guidance based on the latest test results and overall health status.

As the spouse of a newly diagnosed myeloma patient, what caused doctors to put you on revlimid after bone marrow transplant?

Hi Christopher. The doctor said I needed to do 30 months of Revlimid to prevent relapse because I was a high risk patient. This is because I used to have severe nose bleeding problems or recurent episitaxis. I used to rely on blood transfusions. So my doctor said my blood parameters were not stable.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Am new to all of this and trying to figure out why 4 drug treatment is not being totally implemented. Only getting 3 drugs, but not revlimid Go to clinic every week for 2 drugs, take big dose of cortisone at home forc2 days. Have this bottle of extremely $$ revlimid , but doctor is holding off. Having lots of leg pain and swelling. Does this sound familiar to you?? Thank you

This is all very new to me as well. But I get a runny nose and it's pretty constant. No I have my lomo. That was diagnosed end of June my kidneys have all but shut down. They were better way around first diagnosed.I don't know if that's what I'm gonna do with why my nose runs. But anybody out there has those issues even the Doctor has no clue.I just did my first round of chemo and wasn't too bad

Mostly my experience has been fatigue and dizziness that may last for just a few hours.I also feel high acidity but I take a lot of water to dilute the feeling. Other times I completely feel nothing at all and I don't remember I have taken it. I think the more one uses Revlimid the more the body becomes used. However I have discovered all chemotherapy requires the patient to take lots of water. I at least take 3 liters in a day.
