2 months agoHas anyone had a hemi colectomy for neuroendocrine CA of small bowel, had both radiation & chemo and then had constant diarrhea? I’m 21/2 years down the road.

2 months agoThis type of digestive issue can be a challenging long-term effect that some people experience after bowel surgery combined with cancer treatments. Many community members have shared similar experiences and found it helpful to discuss management strategies with their healthcare team, including gastroenterologists who specialize in post-surgical digestive health. Connecting with others who've been through similar treatments might provide valuable insights and support during this ongoing journey.

10 days agoBeverly, I haven't but mine was small intestine with Mets to my mesentery and liver. I know many people have had success with taking Xermelo. I have used Creon and Lomotil. I have found that eating salads and fatty foods causes numerous trips to the bathroom. One thing that helps stop it for me is plain pasta and French bread. I never ate carbs but it's the only thing that can kind of settle me and keep my bathroom habits semi normal. I am on 120 ml of the injection lanreotide every 28 days and that is the major cause of diarrhea for me but after 8 years I pretty much have it controlled thank God! Wishing you the very best and I hope you find what works for you!
