Has anyone tried Elahere after Doxil stopped working for ovarian cancer?

I took it last year with Avastin. My oncologist said his few patients that qualified had few side effects. Not me - most of the possible side effects got me. The only one that didn’t was nausea and possible cornea damage. I was exhausted every day. I had 4 rounds and stopped as my CA-125 dropped enough to satisfy the doctor and he didn’t want my neuropathy to get more than my toes and fingers. Stopped April 2025. Fingers recovered but bottom of toes remain numb.

This vague advice is not helpful. Im interested, like the person who posted , how Elahere works and how bad are side effects. I do not rely on my care team as they tell me nothing. Im ready to get emergency cataract surgery before I start as I can't wear glasses due to headaches. My team gives me very little info. I see the studies show patients took it an average of 5.7 months . All this leaves me and others with more questions. Does Elahere work and how normal will my life be?

I was on Elahere for six months. I had a bit of a break in between due to keratitis. Aside from all the eye drops you have to do, I found the regime easier than regular chemo. Of course, everyone is different. Unfortunately, I do have fast growing cataracts now which I am attributing to the steroid drops. On Keytruda and Taxotere now which has been much harder on me.
