13 days agoI was recently diagnosed with pancreatic adenocarcinoma and I'm experiencing both back pain and abdominal pain. I learned that these are common symptoms many people with pancreatic cancer have, especially early on after diagnosis. The pancreas sits deep in the abdomen near the spine, so pain can show up in both places like I'm experiencing. I'm working with my healthcare team on treatment planning and pain management. I'd love to connect with others who have been through something similar and hear about your experiences. • What has your pain management journey looked like with pancreatic cancer? • Are there any comfort measures or daily routines that have helped you cope with back and abdominal pain?

12 days agoManaging pain with pancreatic cancer can be challenging, and reaching out to connect with others who understand this journey shows real strength. Many community members have found relief through a combination of medical pain management approaches and comfort strategies like heat therapy, gentle movement when possible, and stress reduction techniques. Sharing experiences about what works for pain relief can be incredibly valuable for everyone here, so hopefully others will chime in with their own insights and support.

10 days agoMy husband started out with the same exact pain upper abdominal and back. Oxy helped a but what really made a difference was a combination of oxy and the pancreatic enzymes. They helped him digest food better and be able to eat without fear of being in pain. He’s on a lot less oxy now with the enzymes

9 days agoThat's exactly how it is for me. I take Oxycodone at night only. The rest of the day I don't take anything. Just the Creon when I eat.

8 days agoI have pancreatic cancer too and experienced both stomach and back pain. I also have chronic back pain so I didn't pick up the tie between back and stomach pain with pancreatic cancer. I take an oxycodone as needed if it gets very bad, but it is mostly manageable without. I occasionally use a heating pad for my back.

4 days agoShi,my husband also had a stent put into his bile duct. The following week he had a procedure to manage the pain “Celiac Plexus block” it helped him tremendously. It’s not 100% but definitely a while lot better.

2 days agoI agree, oxycodone (if needed), heating for back ache, and pancreatic enzymes. That combination helped me.
