Hi all! ~ I had stage 3 breast cancer in 2011. Had chemo, radiation, double mastectomy and am cancer free. My issue relates to my heart. I'm trying to find a cardiologist that specializes in radiation damage. I have a defibrillator for Mobitz type 2 arrhythmia and a very slow heart rate. I am having serious shortness of breath after walking just 2 blocks. My current cardiologist just told me there is no damage to my heart. My previous cardiologist said that my heart perfuses at 38%, I have regurgitation in the hepatic and IVC portal. If anyone has any recommendations ~ please help. I'm in Arizona.

Finding a cardiologist who understands radiation-related heart complications can be challenging, but specialized cardio-oncologists or cancer survivorship clinics often have the most experience with these issues. Consider reaching out to major cancer centers in Arizona like Mayo Clinic or Banner MD Anderson, as they typically have heart specialists who work closely with cancer survivors and understand the long-term effects of radiation therapy on cardiac function.

I understand. I have extreme shortness of breath and can hardly walk to the end of my driveway. I actuality have an appt. with a cardiologist on the 17th. I pray I don't have to have surgery.
