6 months agoI’m 67, completed 28 sessions radiation beam treatment therapy, nothing else. Therapy ended September 2024, first PSA reading was 1.6 down from 4.5. No side effects except dry orgasm now which sucks but whatever I can deal with it. Otherwise feel very very good training at high level for swimming boxing guys and play tennis. I do have some mild anxiety hoping this damn thing is behind me. Next PSA review is in about 10 days. Dry orgasm is weird but better than none at all. Thanks and feel free to respond

Great to hear about your positive PSA results and that you're staying so active with swimming, boxing, and tennis! The physical activity shows real strength during recovery. It's completely natural to feel some anxiety while waiting for test results - many survivors share those same feelings about hoping treatment was successful. Wishing you continued strength as you await your upcoming PSA review, and hoping this community continues to be a source of support during your survivorship journey.

6 months agoI completed 30 tracks of radiation plus 4 3 day sessions of chemo 2 years ago. I have permanent esophagitis from the radiation and abdominal scars from my hemicolectomy but other than that I’m doing well & am now 2 years cancer free.

6 months agoI was in my mid-seventies when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I had 45 sessions of radiation and have been prostate cancer-free for six years. Although I’m now fighting bladder cancer for the last two years, so far, I have been cancer-free but require constant monitoring and treatments.
