What treatments are available for lymphedema after breast cancer?

a month agoI was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 1993 followed by surgery, chemo and radiation. I developed lymphedema in my arm 5 years ago. Is there any treatment to manage this condition besides using a pump at night and wearing a compression sleeve during the day? I've heard that there may be a type of surgery to correct this condition. What type of doctor would be able to give me more information?

Lymphatic drainage massage, physical therapy with certified lymphedema therapists, and newer surgical procedures like lymphovenous anastomosis or lymph node transfer are possibilities worth exploring with specialists.
