How do others cope with scanxiety after tracheal cancer treatment?

I think that I am in the right group here! I had Adenoid cystic carcinoma in my trachea. The surgeon took out a third of my trachea in May of 2024, but I still had positive margins. I was able to get in 29 of 33 planned Proton radiation treatments, then had to stop when I was admitted to ICU with pneumonia. Since then, I have had quarterly chest CT scans. It has been a roller coaster, as it seems that they always find something new! Scanxiety much?

Scanxiety is such a common experience among cancer survivors, and it's completely understandable given everything you've been through with your treatment journey. Many community members find it helpful to develop coping strategies like mindfulness techniques, talking with other survivors who understand, or discussing these feelings with their care team. What strategies have you tried so far, and have any other members here found particular approaches that work well for managing the stress around scan times?
