5 months agoConsidering PAP flap because I don’t have enough abdominal fat. Can anyone share insight on healing after this surgery?

PAP flap reconstruction can be a great option when other donor sites aren't suitable, and it's wonderful that there are multiple approaches available for your reconstruction journey. Many community members have shared their experiences with various flap surgeries here, so hopefully others who've been through PAP flap recovery will chime in with their insights about the healing process and what to expect.

4 months agoHi Rene! Hopefully someone in our Community that has had a PAP flap will respond soon. I know nothing beats that peer to peer sharing of experiences. In the meantime I found this very detailed (maybe too much but wanted you to make that determination for yourself) video overview on the surgery and expected recovery timeline. I hope this helps. We are so glad you are here. Please keep us posted on what you decide and how it goes! 💛 Suzanne (Community Moderator) https://youtu.be/o5ZBa4kR2_0?si=9b_YwcENc1ZjDsRb
