a month agoI am recovering from a full hysterectomy with lymph nodes dissection and cyst removal in vulvar so its been sore and today its hurting more since I am moving around more. I will get my results on Wednesday and know my diagnosis so I can deal with my cancer and move on. The waiting is the hardest part so I know I will be fine. I hope everyone is doing well. 🤗🦋

a month agoManaging post-surgical pain while waiting for results is incredibly challenging, and it's completely normal for discomfort to increase as activity levels return. Many patients find that gentle movement combined with prescribed pain management helps during recovery, though it's always best to check with the surgical team about what pain levels are expected and when to reach out for additional support. The waiting period before results can feel overwhelming, and this community understands that journey - sending healing thoughts for Wednesday and hoping others here can share what helped them through similar recovery experiences.

a month agoWe don’t know each other but I responded to your earlier post before your surgery. I have been wondering how you’ve been recovering post- op. Hope you are doing well.

a month agoHi Cathye, Yes I remember, how are you? I have had surgery and recovering is ok so I am still waiting to diagnose after all my pathology comes back.

a month agoWaiting for results can be the worst. I hope for the best possible outcome for you. I went back to work 5 weeks after my hysterectomy while waiting for oncotype test result from my partial mastectomy/lymphectomy I had 2 weeks before the hysterectomy. Both my surgeons are phenomenal. They worked closely together and monitored my cases to ensure I had the best recuperations possible.

25 days agoHi Cathye, After many calls, I am diagnosed with Stage 3 Uterine Cancer 1C which is further than I thought or was told so I am overwhelmed & feeling surprised & shocked on top of being raw. I know it’s not a death sentence and 70% survival rate isn’t bad but damn it. In a few days I will be fine after processing everything and regrouping. I have 2-3 weeks before knowing my markers.

24 days agoHi Eileen. So sorry to learn of your stage 3 results. Damn it…It was not what I was praying for your results to be. Be kind to yourself and process this news slowly while you are still recuperating. I will keep you in my prayers and check back in on you next week.

24 days agoHi Cathye, I feel the same so I will adjust and process it. I have my appointment with my new Gyn Oncologist (2nd opinion) today so I am a bundle of emotions and excited for a new start with the right doctor. Fingers crossed. I hope you are doing well and have a great day. 🤗🦋

24 days agoMy uterine cancer was early stage, will not require any treatments at this time. follow-up surveillance appointments every 3 months for 2026. Thank goodness for small favors. Allows me to concentrate on my breast cancer radiation treatments that will start next week. Had my measurements and simulation run this week for radiation. I am having a small gathering tomorrow afternoon with 4 generations (me, my daughter, my granddaughter and my great-grandson) to eat my first gumbo of the cold season here in So Louisiana. Staying positive and fingers crossed!
