7 months post-implant surgery I don't like wearing a bra because I feel like I have one on. Does anyone else have any thoughts?

This sensation after implant surgery is something that several community members have experienced and shared about. The feeling of persistent pressure or awareness can vary from person to person and may change over time as healing continues. Many find it helpful to discuss these types of post-surgery sensations with their medical team to better understand what's normal for their recovery process and explore comfort options that work best for them.

My surgery team explained that this sensation is called "iron bra" and that deep breathing, massage, and physical therapy help. I am awaiting for physical therapy which will start next week. In the meantime I take deep breaths and gently twist my torso. I am 6 weeks post mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. Make sure to ask your doctors if you can twist. I was not allowed or encouraged to do this until this week. Prior to this week I only did deep breathing.

Did you do chemo before or after mastectomy and did you have any complications with immediate reconstruction . My doctor recommended delayed due to potential Complications which would delay my chemo treatment
