6 months agoIt’s been a rough ride for me so far. Diagnosed with stage 4 oral cancer. Tumor has eaten through my lower left jaw and masticator muscle. Surgery scheduled for 6/19. Feels like so much bad news coming my way…tracheotomy that MAY be permanent, feeding tube that MAY be permanent, the procedure the doctor described is frightening and overwhelming. Anyone gone through this can offer some insight on what to expect? I’m terrified and need a ray of hope.

5 months agoI haven't been through it yet. I was diagnosed SCC oral cancer on 6/5/25. TORS surgery scheduled for 7/22/25 I'm overwhelmed to say the least. I will need a partial glossectomy as well as lymphadectomy (3 cervical lymph nodes removed).
