TP53 mutations are found in a significant portion of triple negative breast cancer cases and can affect how the cancer behaves and responds to treatment. Many community members here have experience navigating TNBC with various genetic mutations, and connecting with others who understand this journey can provide valuable insights and support during treatment planning.

I'm on my 6th chemo and this TP53 mutation is causing the chemo treatments to not be as effective. I was 1st diagnosed in September 2023 and started chemo in November of that year. I had a lumpectomy in April 2024, a mastectomy in July 2024. Started Xeloda in November 2024 relapsed. Started Trodelvy in January 2025 relapsed, started Eribulin in December 2025 and the tumors started growing like crazy in the mastectomy area, under my left arm, and head towards my back. January 2026 stared Gemcitabine, Carboplatin, and Keytruda. Saw some shrinkage, but I missed a treatment cause my numbers were too low and they started growing again. March I started Doxorubicin and have noticed the tumors have shrunk and are not protruding in the mastectomy area, but I've had open wounds since using the Eribulin in that area.
