I have esophageal/gastroesophageal junction cancer and have been learning about clinical trials as a treatment option. I recently read that clinical trials aren't just "last resort" treatments - they can actually be considered at different stages of the cancer journey and might offer access to promising new treatments that aren't widely available yet. I'm curious about others' experiences with clinical trials for similar diagnoses. It seems like there are a lot of misconceptions out there about how they work, and I'd love to hear real perspectives from people who have been through this. • If you participated in a clinical trial, what was that experience like for you? • What do you wish you had known about clinical trials earlier in your treatment journey?
